The Parmiter Company was established in 1885 by Philip J. Parmiter the inventor and original patent holder of the chain harrow design. In recent years the company has concentrated its efforts on key markets including the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
In May of 2005 - Redexim Charterhouse, Inc. and P. J. Parmiter and Sons, LTD of Tisbury, UK announced that the manufacturing rights to the Parmiter Chain Harrows, marketed under the Atlas and Commander brand names, have been purchased by Redexim Charterhouse, Inc. of Pittston Township, Pennsylvania.
Redexim Charterhouse believe they have the skills and expertise to continue this great tradition of quality manufacturing while challenging themselves to move forward with the demanding economic times.
